The Blend Within “Architecture”

Villa Isola (1933) located in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. By: Wolff Schoemaker (1882 – 1949) Dutch architect, painter whose art deco style was inspired, influenced by Frank Lloyd Wright, Javanese philosophy and ornamental elements amongst others. The use of circular shapes and terraces are found to be similar to the shapes of Buddhist and Hindu structures in mid and east Java.
