Born from a desire to reconnect with layered histories shaped by migration, memory, and creative expression, FUSE is a contemporary coffee-table book, a visual mosaic of hybrid life, past, present, and future. It begins with the legacy of Eurasian families who migrated to the Netherlands in the 1950s and expands into contemporary life in Indonesia. It explores the ongoing dialogue between past and present, where personal narratives, contemporary art, and design intersect to reflect evolving identities across generations and geographies.
Rooted in the shared perspective of mixed-heritage storytellers, FUSE brings together daily life, reimagined food culture, and a shared artistic vision. Through vibrant photography, fashion, and visual storytelling, it captures a shifting sense of belonging and hybridity, reflecting a life between worlds.
The book features lesser-known traditional vegetarian dishes alongside fusion creations, interwoven with personal stories of cultural blending, resilience, and imagination.
FUSE explores cross-cultural identity through contemporary art, design, visual storytelling, everyday rituals, and creative reinterpretations of heritage.
